Dr. Younger is a graduate of Aberdeen Medical School in Scotland, and trained thereafter at the University of British Columbia, Department of Orthopaedics. He performed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery in Seattle, and has been in practice since 1998. He dedicates his practice to foot and ankle surgery. He is an Associate Professor at UBC.

He is the Ambulatory Care Physician Leader at Providence Health Care and the Director of the BC Foot and Ankle Clinic. The BC Foot and Ankle Clinic has been recognized as a leader in perioperative pathways, and received formal recognition in 2004 by winning the 3M Health Care Quality Award.

Dr. Younger is active in prospective research on outcomes of ankle arthritis. He has also studied outcomes of diabetic foot infections, and has performed a number of studies on tourniquet use.
