Dr. Munk is the Director of Musculoskeletal Radiology, Vancouver General Hospital, and Professor of Radiology, with cross appointments in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery and General Surgery.

Major practice interests include musculoskeletal oncology and interventional radiology (embolization, radiofrequency ablation, vertebroplasty and imaging-guided biopsy). He is a member of the International Skeletal Society and a member of the Board of Editors of Skeletal Radiology. He is the author of a textbook “MRI of the Knee”, and over 200 scientific papers. Memberships include the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society of Skeletal Radiology.
