Dr. McCormack is Head of the Division of Arthroscopy and Athletic Injuries within the Department of Orthopaedics. His clinical practice is at the New West Orthopedic and Sport Medicine Center, and focuses on knee and shoulder injuries. He is involved in the care of several sports teams and elite athletes at the varsity, national team and professional level. He is also the Chief Medical Officer for the upcoming Olympics in Turino (2006) and Beijing (2008). Dr. McCormack is involved in several prospective outcome studies and is the Director of the Simon Fraser Orthopedic Research Foundation. He was a founding member of COTS and JOINTS to facilitate multicenter Canadian trials in trauma and shoulder surgery.
