Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate degree in Manitoba and then his orthopaedic surgery training in Montreal. He previously worked at the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Montreal before joining us. He brought with him his extensive clinical and research background in musculoskeletal tumor and microvascular surgery. He has received numerous research grants and distinctions. His most recent grant, from the Medical Research Council of Canada, was for transplantation of free vascularized epiphysis.
