Goals and characteristics
This Fellowship offers a high volume clinical exposure to primarily
arthroscopic reconstruction of the Shoulder, Elbow, Hip and Knee. This
preceptor based Fellowship will provide a diverse exposure to the treatment
and care of patients with activity related musculoskeletal injuries.
The Fellow will participate in approximately 800 cases during the year.
In addition to the surgical experience, the Fellowship includes departmental
education and epidemiological research related to musculoskeletal injuries.
The Fellowship is designed to provide a complete experience in Arthroscopic
Reconstruction.
Academic responsibilities include participation in weekly rounds, resident
seminar series, and teaching for both resident and undergraduate students.
Each fellow will be involved in a research project with the ultimate
goal of publication and presentation at major scientific meetings.
